Atmospheric Research Center (ARC) has the expertise with numerous air quality models, including meteorological models such as MM5 and WRF, the emission processing system (SMOKE), the regional chemical transport models (CMAQ/CAMx/WRF-Chem/NAQPMS), the source apportionment models (CAMx-PSAT/CMAQ-ISAM), the air quality dispersion model (CALPUFF), and the street canyon models (ADMS). ARC was among the first to develop the Pearl River Delta region air quality forecasting system, which simultaneously models multiple air pollutants in a 3-km domain and provides a 72-hour forecast.
