COVID-19: Data analytics and how to contain the pandemic

Join this virtual talk from Dr. Joseph Wu (Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, HKU) to learn more about the COVID-19 pandemic.

Given what is currently happening around the world, MIT Club of Hong Kong and MIT Node are pleased to co-host a virtual event featuring Professor Dr. Joseph Wu, Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the School of Public Health at the University of Hong Kong, to learn more about COVID-19.   

In this short talk, Professor Wu will discuss how cutting-edge data analytics has been developed and applied in real time to nowcast and forecast the spread and severity of the COVID-19 pandemic since its emergence in November 2019.  He will then discuss the latest epidemiologic and clinical findings that are crucial for containing and mitigating the pandemic.
