  • Work in a team with students from different background and disciplines
  • Make new friends who may be your future business partners 
  • identify new marketing opportunities from sharing by J.P. Morgan
  • Learn new skills & tools which are useful for launching your own startup

FIRST EVENT – Wednesday, November 15

FinTech Talk by J.P. Morgan

Massive disruption is coming, and the only question is whether you are prepared for it or lose your competitiveness. There are many ways you can leverage and embrace technology to create opportunities for growth.

We are delighted that technologists from J.P. Morgan are coming to campus on Wednesday, November 15 to share with us challenges and opportunities for the banking and finance sector. They will also share their insights about how J.P. Morgan embraces emerging technologies to innovate and remain competitive.

SECOND EVENT – Saturday and Sunday, November 25 – 26

B.E.S.T. ** Camp in partnership with J.P. Morgan

**Business, Engineering and Science Students Working Together

Along the same theme of FinTech, you are invited to the B.E.S.T. Camp in partnership with J.P. Morgan on Saturday and Sunday, November 25 – 26.

The purpose of this Camp is to provide you opportunity to hear from leading companies in their respective industries and first-hand experience to develop ideation for existing industry-wide challenges. Students from different disciplines can join this Camp to develop solutions in groups for business challenges presented which may lead to new business model or prototype.

We are honored to have Sophia Leung, Asia Pacific Chief Information Officer of J.P. Morgan, to speak at our Camp on November 25. In addition, technologists from J.P. Morgan will present the business challenges and opportunities, talk about FinTech and disruption, and work with you on how to leverage technologies such as big data, AI and machine learning to solve business problems.

YOU ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAED TO ATTEND THE FINTECH TALK mentioned above BEFORE joining the B.E.S.T. Camp in order to:

  •          Get a better perspective about the challenges in the banking and finance sector
  •          Start exploring ideas to tackle the business challenges prior to the Camp

This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about the banking and finance sector and gain insights from the industry leaders. You can also make new friends from other disciplines and test your ideas. Best of all, you can get valuable input from mentors from J.P. Morgan.

A notification email will be sent to you if your application has been successful. Upon the receipt of the email, please submit your HKD$500 deposit payment to the officer below by 1:00 pm, Nov 22
